Considering a Seminary Education:

When Jesus called the disciples, He called them away from their current vocations to follow Him. They experienced 3 years of intensive day-to-day training from their Master Teacher. This mentored training prepared them for the challenges ahead as they were sent out to proclaim the good news.

The word seminary literally means a seed-bed-like a garden of thought and learning. The disciples arguably received the very best theological education afforded to anyone.

A graduate-level seminary education provides this seed-bed to equip you for a life long learning adventure. It provides a thorough study of scripture to equip you for thoughtful engagement of complex issues of the day. You are challenged to analyze current culture and discover ways to address its needs. Ministry skills are taught by experienced instructors who understand the challenges. You are taught how to think and discern in an atmosphere that combines intellect with commitment to God.

  ACTS, the Graduate School of Theological Studies for TWU, works in a dynamic partnership with the University. Students enjoy access to many campus amenities including the TWU library, which is one of the largest biblical and theological collections in Canada. Masters degrees awarded at ACTS are conferred co-jointly by the University and each Seminary of record.
